Crypto Analyst Sets Long-Term Price Targets for BTC, ETH, XRP, and SOL

Cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez has outlined long-term price targets for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), and Solana (SOL), projecting potential cycle peaks as high as $190,000 for BTC and $8,800 for ETH. The bullish forecasts arrive amid strong institutional ETF inflows and aggressive whale accumulation following the start of October.

Bitcoin and Ethereum Channel Patterns

According to Martinez, Bitcoin has been trading inside a two-year rising channel. A breakout past its previous record high above $126,000 could shift focus to the channel's upper boundary near $190,000. On-chain data supports the momentum, with large holders owning 10 to 10,000 BTC accumulating over 41,000 BTC in roughly 10 days. Furthermore, spot Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated over $57.6 billion in net inflows to date, powered by nearly $2.4 billion during the previous week—its best performance since October 2025. However, Martinez cautioned that historical US midterm election years in 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 were followed by steep market pullbacks. Investors remain watchful after recent macro volatility following spot ETF inflow surges.

For Ethereum, a multi-year channel stretching over five years points toward a major resistance level at $5,000. A decisive monthly close above this barrier would open a path toward $8,800. ETH whales purchased approximately 60,000 ETH (worth roughly $162 million) last week, while cumulative spot ETH ETF net inflows reached nearly $14 billion, boosted by almost $700 million in weekly deposits.

Multi-Year Breakouts for XRP and Solana

Martinez also highlighted technical structures forming on long-term charts for top altcoins:

  • Ripple (XRP): Forming an ascending triangle on its 30-day chart with key resistance at $3.66; a monthly close above this mark projects an ultimate target of $31.87.
  • XRP Trend: The token posted green monthly closes in July, August, and September for the first time in its history despite broader shifts in social sentiment at the start of Uptober.
  • Solana (SOL): Displaying a classic cup-and-handle pattern with a neckline at $295; a monthly confirmation above that level projects a long-term target near $2,744.

Why It Matters

These macro chart patterns highlight a growing divergence between institutional positioning and retail market sentiment. While spot ETF flows and whale accumulation demonstrate strong conviction among well-capitalized market participants, aggressive technical targets depend heavily on sustained global liquidity. Traders should monitor upcoming macroeconomic events and US political headwinds, which have historically disrupted late-stage bull runs.
