Gas

The fee you pay to have the network process your transaction.

Gas is the fee paid to the network's validators to include and process your transaction. On Ethereum and similar chains, gas is priced in tiny units and fluctuates with demand.

When the network is busy, gas prices rise — your transaction competes with everyone else's. Pay more for faster confirmation, or wait for a quieter time to pay less.
