A 0–100 gauge summarising whether the market feels fearful or greedy.
The Fear and Greed Index condenses several market signals into a single number from 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme greed).
It's a sentiment snapshot, not a prediction. Contrarians sometimes treat extreme fear as a potential buying opportunity and extreme greed as a caution sign — but it's just one input among many.
