XRP ETFs Reach 13-Week Inflow Streak as Whale Deposits and CPI Pull Price to $1.31

United States spot XRP exchange-traded funds gathered approximately $740,000 in net inflows on October 14, securing a 13-week positive streak even as XRP declined 5.11% over 24 hours to $1.31.

13 Consecutive Weeks of ETF Inflows Fail to Stop Price Drop

According to data from SoSoValue, XRP ETFs have logged net inflows for 13 consecutive weeks, pushing cumulative net inflows to a record $1.80 billion. The fund category last recorded a weekly net outflow during the week ending July 10, when investors withdrew $7.2 million. Weekly fund additions have slowed since reaching $75.6 million in the week ending September 25, with the following two weeks generating $4.7 million and $11.3 million respectively.

On October 14, while funds tracking Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Hyperliquid (HYPE) suffered combined outflows of nearly $400 million, XRP and Zcash (ZEC) products remained positive. Zcash funds attracted $3.68 million in single-day inflows, though they remain $3.16 million in the red for the week. Despite steady ETF interest, XRP trades 64% below its all-time high of $3.65 set on July 17, 2025, while total XRP ETF net assets shrank from $1.77 billion on September 25 to $1.51 billion due to price depreciation.

Binance Whale Transfers Hit Seven-Month High

Sustained institutional inflows have been offset by increasing token transfers to exchanges by large holders. Crypto analyst Arab Chain reported that 30-day XRP whale deposits to Binance climbed to 1.669 billion XRP, marking a seven-month high compared to roughly 1.65 billion XRP in September. Although these movements can signal wallet restructuring or exchange service transfers rather than immediate liquidations, expanding exchange reserves generally increases sell-side liquidity.

Broader macroeconomic headwinds have further suppressed market performance. A higher-than-expected US Consumer Price Index reading on October 14 triggered market-wide weakness across digital assets, overriding steady fund inflows as crypto assets digested broader inflation pressures. Meanwhile, traders continue to monitor Binance XRP exchange activity to gauge whether large-scale distribution will continue.

  • Record Inflows: XRP ETFs extended their positive run to 13 consecutive weeks, reaching $1.80 billion in total cumulative net inflows.
  • Price Slump: XRP fell 5.11% to $1.31, remaining 64% off its $3.65 all-time high.
  • Whale Deposits: 30-day whale deposits to Binance reached a seven-month peak of 1.669 billion XRP.
  • Asset Contraction: Total XRP ETF net assets decreased from $1.77 billion on September 25 to $1.51 billion.

Why It Matters

The divergence between 13 weeks of ETF accumulation and falling spot prices underscores a significant supply overhang in the market. Sustained institutional buying through regulated ETFs has not been large enough to absorb exchange supply increases driven by whales moving over 1.66 billion tokens to Binance. Until spot demand outweighs exchange deposits and macroeconomic uncertainty around US inflation clears, ETF inflows alone are unlikely to spark a sustained price recovery.
