US Crypto ETFs Pull In $3.04 Billion as Altcoins Capture $793 Million

U.S. spot cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds pulled in $3.04 billion in combined net inflows from Monday through Thursday, driven by renewed momentum in Bitcoin and growing institutional appetite for altcoin products.

Bitcoin Dominates as Total Net Assets Surge

Bitcoin spot ETFs captured $2.25 billion of the total four-day intake, starting the week with a $999 million surge on Monday—the strongest single-day inflow of 2026 and the highest since Oct. 6, 2025 (which saw $1.2 billion). This single-day acquisition represented approximately 11,530 BTC, signaling a strong resurgence in institutional demand following earlier market recoveries where Bitcoin ETFs erased a $5.8 billion deficit.

Inflows stayed positive for four consecutive sessions through Thursday, which added $190.65 million to extend the four-session run, reflecting recent market updates where Bitcoin ETF inflows slowed to $191M on Thursday. According to SoSoValue data as of Sept. 24, the 12 U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs now hold $108.92 billion in net assets with cumulative net inflows reaching $57.43 billion. Bitfinex noted that aggregate ETF investor break-even levels sit near $86,000, with heavy buying concentrated between $85,000 and $86,500 after Bitcoin hit a high of $87,392 on Sept. 21.

Ethereum and Altcoins Capture $793 Million

Non-Bitcoin crypto ETFs gathered $792.6 million over the four-day period, accounting for 26% of all inflows while altcoins experienced a broad rally. Ethereum spot ETFs absorbed the majority of non-Bitcoin capital, taking in $602.94 million. Daily ETH inflows opened at $269.98 million on Monday—its largest single-day entry since Oct. 7, 2025—before adding $162.31 million on Tuesday, $104.63 million on Wednesday, and $66.01 million on Thursday. Cumulative net inflows across the 11 U.S. Ethereum ETFs reached $13.85 billion, holding $17.70 billion in total net assets.

Smaller crypto products also recorded steady demand:

  • Solana ETFs attracted $101.55 million (including $32.81 million on Thursday), lifting cumulative inflows to $1.52 billion and net assets to $1.81 billion.
  • XRP ETFs collected $52.95 million across three active days ($20.02 million Tuesday, $18.04 million Wednesday, and $14.89 million Thursday), bringing total net assets to $1.70 billion.
  • Zcash ETFs brought in $35.17 million, taking the single tracked fund to $306.12 million in cumulative inflows and $1 billion in net assets shortly after its launch earlier this month.

Why It Matters

The broadening of ETF capital beyond Bitcoin demonstrates that institutional investors are seeking diversified exposure across layer-1 smart contract platforms and privacy assets. With aggregate Bitcoin ETF investor break-even levels sitting near $86,000, continuous inflow support is critical to pushing prices past overhead resistance at $87,000. If altcoin ETF demand maintains this trajectory, it could establish a sustained liquidity floor across the broader digital asset market.
