SUI ETFs Log Five Straight Weeks of Inflows as Network Transactions Pass 5 Billion

US-listed SUI exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have secured five consecutive weeks of net inflows, accumulating approximately 14 million SUI during the period. The sustained institutional interest in SUI comes despite softening demand for Bitcoin and Ethereum funds.

Technical Signals and Ecosystem Expansion

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez noted that multiple ecosystem catalysts are driving momentum, remarking that "SUI appears to be preparing for its next leg higher." On the 4-hour chart, the SuperTrend indicator flashed a buy signal this week. During the previous instance of this technical signal, SUI recorded a rally of over 77%.

Network capacity also demonstrated significant scale during a live stress test at Basecamp, where SUI processed over 40 million transactions per second—more than six times its prior record. The test simulated AI-agent activity across more than 10,000 programmable tunnels. According to data from BSCN, overall network throughput has now surpassed 5.02 billion total transactions.

Corporate Integrations and Institutional Growth

Sui continues to broaden its institutional footprint following recent infrastructure and AI developments. Alibaba Cloud is collaborating with the network to integrate cloud and AI inference services into Sui's Agent Payments system, enabling automated stablecoin transactions within predetermined spending limits. Additionally, Samsung Wallet is incorporating Sui into its USDC feature, offering gasless stablecoin transfers across 82 million eligible Galaxy devices in the United States.

Capital commitments are also expanding through Hashi, Sui's Bitcoin finance initiative launching its mainnet in phases this month. Hashi has secured over $500 million in institutional commitments from more than 20 participating institutions, naming Anchorage Digital as its launch partner. Meanwhile, Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol V2 (CCTP V2) is live on Sui, allowing native USDC transfers across 29 supported blockchains.

Downtime Context and Technical Stability

While Sui has maintained 100% uptime over the past 30 days, the protocol faced operational challenges earlier in the year. In May, the network suffered three major outages within a 48-hour period, resulting in over 15 hours of downtime. In January, a consensus bug halted block production and transaction processing for 5 hours and 52 minutes before validators resolved the issue.

  • US-listed SUI ETFs absorbed around 14 million SUI over five consecutive weeks of net inflows.
  • Network throughput reached 5.02 billion lifetime transactions, boosted by a 40 million TPS stress test.
  • Hashi Bitcoin finance project secured $500 million in institutional commitments with Anchorage Digital.
  • Samsung Wallet integration targets 82 million US devices with gas-free USDC transfers.

Why It Matters

The continuous influx into SUI ETFs during a period of slowing inflows for major crypto assets underlines rising institutional demand for high-throughput Layer 1 networks. If enterprise partnerships with major technology players like Alibaba Cloud and Samsung succeed in driving organic transaction volume, Sui could solidify a sustainable fee model independent of speculative trading. However, institutional stakeholders will likely monitor system stability closely, as past network outages highlight operational risks during rapid scaling.
