Cancore Secures $7.2M Seed Round to Connect Canton Network With Public Chain Liquidity

Tokenized finance platform Cancore has raised $7.2 million in a seed funding round to expand infrastructure connecting the Canton Network with public blockchain liquidity. ## Institutional Backing and Trading Metrics The round was supported by Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures, and Proof of Talk. Operating on the Canton mainnet since April 2026 as a validator and Featured App, Cancore reported that as of October 1, it processed over $53.2 million in cumulative trading volume across more than 84,000 trades and generated over $538,000 in protocol revenue. "Canton has built strong institutional foundations, and the next step is opening it to broader market liquidity," said Ye Su, General Partner at ArkStream Capital. "Cancore is taking a practical approach, with live volume and revenue from day one. We’re pleased to back a team focused on real usage over hype." ## Cross-Chain Settlement and AI Agent Integration Describing its architecture as a "Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance," Cancore connects Canton-native real-world assets (RWAs) with external networks. Transactions use atomic settlement across Canton and public chains, ensuring trades fully execute or fail without partial completion. Users retain private key ownership via Cancore's self-custody wallet, while failed swaps refund automatically. Current connectivity includes Canton, EVM-compatible networks, and Tron. The platform also features a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to enable automated execution and task delegation to artificial intelligence systems, joining a broader movement toward AI agent tools in trading. "Tokenization is bringing a growing range of financial assets onchain, but making those assets programmable is the next step," said Wasif Rashid, co-founder and CEO of Cancore. "We see a future where users can deploy capital across tokenized assets and use agents to execute strategies and manage positions on their behalf." ## Expansion Infrastructure and Strategic Impact The $7.2 million capital injection will support expansion into additional blockchain networks and liquidity venues, along with security and agentic trading development. Key platform highlights include: - $53.2 million cumulative volume across 84,000+ trades. - $538,000+ protocol revenue since April 2026 launch. - Atomic cross-chain settlement across Canton, EVM, and Tron. - MCP server integration for automated AI trading agents. Why it matters: Connecting permissioned institutional environments like Canton with public liquidity pools addresses a major structural bottleneck in digital asset markets. As Danish Chaudhry, General Partner at Paper Ventures, explained: "In traditional markets, much of the value sits with the infrastructure that moves capital between venues: clearing, settlement, prime brokerage. Tokenized markets will need the same layer, and between Canton and public chains it barely exists today." By establishing an atomic execution layer, Cancore seeks to capture the essential clearing and settlement role for tokenized real-world assets across diverse blockchain ecosystems.
