Cold Storage
Keeping keys completely offline to protect them from online attacks.
Cold storage means keeping your private keys on a device that never touches the internet — a hardware wallet, or even a phrase written on paper.
Because hackers can't reach an offline key, cold storage is the standard for holding larger amounts long-term. The trade-off is convenience: you have to physically access the device to move funds.
