Crypto Markets in Turmoil: What’s Happening Today
Today’s crypto landscape is painted in red, reflecting a wave of selling across the board. The global cryptocurrency market capitalization has dipped by a significant 6% over the past 24 hours, currently resting at around $2.83 trillion. While this sharp decline might concern many, daily trading volumes are making a slight recovery, now reaching approximately $109 billion, up from around $80 billion seen in previous days.
Out of the top 100 cryptocurrencies, only six are managing to hold their ground in the green today. Leading the pack is Cronos (CRO), which saw a commendable 7.7% increase, now trading at $0.1068. The remaining five coins are also in the positive, showing modest gains ranging from 1.5% to 2.8%.
However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows; notable losses are hitting some tokens with double-digit declines. Injective (INJ) has tumbled by 10.4%, followed closely by Bonk (BONK) and POL (ex-MATIC), which fell 10.3% and 10% respectively. Among the top ten cryptocurrencies, XRP has suffered the most significant loss, down 6.6% at $2.19, with Ethereum (ETH) also facing a tough day, dropping 6.2% to $1,882. Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at $84,268, reflecting a 3% decrease.

This integration addresses a critical gap where tens of millions of dollars in value from liquidations have previously gone unrecognized. By initially targeting markets like tBTC, LBTC, AAVE, and LINK, Aave plans to progressively extend SVR’s capabilities to additional markets. The recovered MEV will be shared between the Aave and Chainlink communities, with an initial split of 65% allocated to Aave and 35% to Chainlink for the first six months of the operation. Additionally, Chainlink SVR enables seamless payment abstraction, ensuring dynamic conversion of service fees into LINK tokens through decentralized exchanges.
